Ludovic Coupaye is Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at University College London (UK), in the Material, Visual And Digital Culture section. He obtained his doctorate at the University of East Anglia (UK) and did his field work in Papua New Guinea, on the cultivation, decoration and ceremonial display of large yams. His research focuses on the anthropology of activities, objects and technical systems and on the relationships between technodiversity, biodiversity, technocracy and the environment. He recently created at UCL, the Center for the Anthropology of Techniques and Technodiversity (CATT).
